Rev. Forrest Dickey, Pastor

"Modern Day Joshua" & "Preaching Machine"

Rev. Forrest Dickey is a native of Musella, GA and a 1985 graduate of Crawford County Comprehensive High School in Roberta, GA. Pastor Dickey furthered his education at "The" Fort Valley State University where he received a BBA Degree in Marketing Management in 1990. He is also a 2012 honor graduate of Turner Theological Seminary of Interdominational Theological Center (ITC), Atlanta, GA, where he received the Master of Divinity Degree in Homiletics & Worship.

While matriculating at the ITC, he was selected as the student-keynote speaker of the President's Inauguration. He is also a Clark Preaching Award receipient for the 2012 graduating class of Turner.

Although Pastor Dickey has a long list of life accomplishments, he remembers most profoundly the epiphany between God and him on December 20, 1995. The "Call to Preach" and having compassion towards God's People are what have fueled his life to this day.

Since Rev. Dickey’s initial sermon on September 27, 1998 at St. Paul AME Church in Macon, GA, and under the tutelage of Rev. Terence R. Gray, he was admitted into the Macon, Georgia Annual Conference in May of 2000, ordained an Itinerant Deacon in 2002 and an Itinerant Elder in 2004; pastored in four conferences in Georgia including the Macon Conference, Georgia Conference, Augusta Conference, and now the Atlanta North Georgia Conference.

Each of Pastor Dickey’s appointments (St. Paul/Wayside AME, Cummings Temple AME, Greater Jordan Chapel AME, Townsley Chapel AME, Stone Springfield AME, and now, St. Mark AME), have been impacted by his gifts of high-spirited preaching, church growth, debt eradication, building, and fiscal soundness. With these gifts, he tirelessly pours the gospel of Jesus Christ from his soul.

Pastor Dickey is married to the former Ms. Lydia L. Fowler of Jeffersonville, GA and they are the proud parents of three wonderful sons, Jaquavis, Christian, and Zion. Known as a "Modern Day Joshua" and "Preaching Machine", Pastor Dickey attributes much of his success to the wonderful people of St. Paul for nurturing and loving him and his family.
